the Machine..
Sorry if I seem to complan too much. But as I use the programs Blade and Machine, I discover new little quirks, possibly my own  Now in LightM I discovered that if in Shadows/Highlights mode I try to fine-tune the Brightness by altering the figures, nothing happens in the preview. I happened to...

And another question..
Thank you, I see. If that's how it works I suppose it's OK. Another thing I wich could be changed is the adjustment of the image size in the viewing pane. Setting i to "Fit" I expect the picture to fill out the pane, because the natural wish I think is to see the whole image as big as possible, but i...

FocalBlade in PhotoPlus
:-? I thought I should report a problem with FocalBlade. I haven't noticed it until now. This happens when I use Auto sharpen Light or higher. It's when I use Selective sharpening Pro and have the image at 100%. When I right-click and move the image, strange enough the Sharpen settting changes. I can...

Re: Light Machine
Tank you Harald, I will try your advice. .."for filtering image areas of a certain color from the shadows" Does "filtering from" mean that the particular color should be covered and not affected by the changes? H: Sorry, but that sentance makes no sense to me either. Where can I find it exactly? Ye...

Light Machine
8) I have bought the Light Maschine, and so far I'm happy with it. It was mainly to be able to handle the most common problem in image editing, dark underexposed parts. It's very versatile and makes processing easier, even if it still takes time. With more experience I will probably learn to finish q...

Last episode..
I think we are coming to the last episode of this serial :) I tried again today, and yes now I could see that the spot mask changed within the circle. I had expected the circle to change. I also managed to place both Focal Blade and Light Machine in PhotoPlus. So now I have to decide if the slightly...

Giving up?
It looks like I have to give up on using PhotoPlus. With Light Machine I encounter problems. It's in Virtual Studio, trying to change Ovality and Angle doesn't work. Nothing happens when I move the sliders. Maybe I have to buy some other program. I made a bid on CorelDraw12 on e.Bay but was outbid. ...

New problems
As mentioned in my previous post, I tried FocalBlade with Serif PhotoPlus. And it works. Now I wanted to do the same with Light Machine, wich I have a trial version of. But the strange thing is that when I try to place Light Machine in the Plugins folder in PhotoPlus, it removes Focal Blade! And vic...

The fog is lightening! :o Sorry, it's me again. I hope you have patience with my misunderstandings. But it was the information about FocalBlade supporting 16bit and 8bit pictures. I must have read in an "only" wich wasn't there. I have now found a program that seems to work. It's the free "Serif Pho...

I have now done a few comparisons with different colour depths,24bit versus 8bit. And I notice a definite deterioration in quality. Visible as pixelation both in the full size picture (2592x1944) and in the downsampled (1024x768). So I don't like it. If I'm not entirely mistaken I need to change fro...

Thank you for your quick answer and offer of a possible refund. I have decided to wait a little. I have just made a bid on a Corel Draw 12 on e.Bay. If I get it, my problems will hopefully be solved. But I am still uncertain about the color space issue. Do you mean that my RGB 24Bpp files can be use...

Confused about supported programs
:( I may have made a mistake when I paid for and downloaded FocalBlade. "Corel Draw 6 and higher" is noted in the Compatibility List among programs wich are supposed to work with Focal Blade. Unfortunately I haven't been able to use Focal Blade with Corel Draw 8 or the included Photopaint. It seems ...
