Re: Two Plugins That Hang Up Photoshop CS5 BADLY...

That's my theory, too, Harald. I have long suspected that there might be one or more incompatible dll's in CS5 that those plugins don't like. Both the plugins WILL eventually launch in CS5 if I wait long enough; they just stubbornly insist on putting CS5 into some kind of 'holding pattern' before th...

Two Plugins That Hang Up Photoshop CS5 BADLY...

Hi Harald. I haven't been able to figure out why two older 32-bit plugins run fine in Photoshop Elements 11 and in the current version of IrfanView , but hang up Photoshop CS5 (32-bit) for several minutes. The two plugins are the old Topaz "Vivacity" and Pixel Vista's "EasySharp". Of course, Vivacit...

Re: ColorWasher Crash

Harald, here is another thing I just discovered about the ColorWasher crashes: the crashes do not occur if I first click on any one of the 5 'Auto' buttons on the Cast Tab Sheet before using the Contrast controls on the Brightness Tab. This is, at least, an easy way to bypass the crashes. Best regar...

ColorWasher Crash

Hi, Harald. I'm using ColorWasher 3.10 as both the Photoshop plugin and as the Standalone. The ColorWasher plugin is installed in three versions of Photoshop: CS5 64-bit, CS5 32-bit, and Photoshop Elements 11. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with almost 8 gigabytes of RAM. My computer is current with t...

Re: Newbie

The Recompose Tool in PSE 8 (and also in PSE 9) uses a technology called "seam carving" and "content-aware image resizing". Yes, there are third-party plugins available that will allow you to do the same thing in your current version of Photoshop. You can go to http://www.colorpilot.com and check ou...

Re: Great New Product! Thankyou!

You have a good reason for everything you design into your plugins. This is why they are high quality products; they handle the workflow extremely well, from amateur to professional work. In regards to "how to make switching between these two edge masks easier and more obvious", your last post actua...

Re: Great New Product! Thankyou!

Harald, Thanks for that eye-opening fact...it never even occurred to me that the "Version 1 Defaults" would create a "Version 1-style" edge mask. I am going to check it out right away. I must also re-read the Version 2 Help file to find out what other important things I missed or forgot. This one si...

Re: Great New Product! Thankyou!

Harold, I still like to use FocalBlade 1.07 occasionally because of the DeBlur Pro feature you built into it - even though FocalBlade 2.01 is capable of doing the same thing. So whenever there is a need to apply "strong" sharpening, I like to call up FocalBlade 1.07 to use it's Deblur feature. I lea...

Great New Product! Thankyou!

Harold, I am grateful to you and your development team for another POWERFUL tool from The Plugin Site. I have Colorwasher, ContrastMaster, LightMachine, and TWO versions of FocalBlade (the lastest version plus an older version I still like to use). I have used these tools with great success and grea...

Focal Blade 2 Preview Navigation Issue

Harold, thankyou so much for continuing to improve the plugins I enjoy using so much! I love FocalBlade 2 - as well as the previous version - so I have both of them existing side-by-side in my Photoshop plug-ins folder. About my preview navigation problem: On some zoomed images in the plugin, the pr...

Thanks, Harald. And good luck. You're right that restarting the computer wouldn't work. Last night, I had a badly yellowed old Polaroid snapshot in ColorWasher. As before, I was cycling through the Cast-types to see their effects on the photo, but the error message didn't pop up when I reached the g...
