There would be times when someone might want "Reset" to remove the marquee alone, but others when it should remove the marquee and undo the sharpening that had been added by drawing the marquee.

Agreed, and...
I thought of a couple of enhancements as well -- unless I've missed something in the documentation (I'm a brand-new user), I think it would be great to have a keyboard shortcut to remove the outlining that appears when you have made a selection with the mouse. Given the way the Reset function works,...

When using the White Halo and Black Halo slider you are decreasing the sharpness, too. It just happens much differently then when reduding the valie of the Sharpen slider(s). The two Halo sliders usually only affect the edges, because that's where the halos appear. Thanks, Harald. I'll try that fir...

Alternatively you can also try to increase the White Halo and Black Halo slider from the Fix tab. That will reduce the halos, too. I guess that's the best place to start. I don't think I would want to back off on the sharpening, overall. Or maybe this would be a good situation for testing how fine-...

I've just begun using FocalBlade. So far I've had a chance to use the program with only one image file, so it's a pretty small sample size to be sure. That aside...I've noticed that when I make even fairly extreme changes in the mask sliders, the look of the mask might change pretty dramatically but...
