Andromeda measure filter can collect pixel data over specified
paths or areas, and export data to files. Not mean and SD, but
the raw data you could derive them from.

25-30 might be a reasonable number of thumbnails to cram
on a cd label, but how would you choose them among the

try Andromeda ScatterLight. It produces realistic highlights based
on the actual image data rather than drawn stars.
