Hi Marckie, I've got 4 options listed at http://www.plugsnpixels.com/imageeffects.html under "Shadows". Perhaps the Andromeda option (Shadow) is your best bet.

Assuming you're talking about a color change (as opposed to shape shifting), I think you might find Color Mechanic perfect for your needs, or perhaps BlackMagic.

I can't say that I've ever seen a white buffalo!

I read somewhere that you can disable the Digimarc plugins for a Photoshop speed boost. I guess this keeps PS from checking each image for watermarks.

There are currently three ways to use Windows apps on a Mac: 1) On a PowerPC-based Mac (G4, G5), you can run Microsoft's Virtual PC. 2) On an Intel-based Mac (MacBook, iMac), you can use: a) Apple's BootCamp (where you restart into Windows) or b) Parallels Desktop (where you can run DOS, Windows, Li...

You may wish to check out Filter Forge. Very excellent effects; you can string your own together and save them as presets and/or plug-ins (I'm not left-brained so I haven't tried editing them myself, only applying existing presets!).

The Kubota Sloppy Borders photo edges (including many 35mm options) were printed in a traditional darkroom and scanned. The resulting TIFFs (125 megs' worth) can be used with the actions or as source images in other apps (such as EasyFrame, etc.).

That is true, Harald! You can tell I don't have one yet...

With the Intel Mac you can either reboot into Windows using Apple's Boot Camp, or run OS-X, Windows, Linux, etc. side-by-side with OS-X using a new third-party solution (whose name escapes me at the moment).

Like Harald said, Virtual PC is the most realistic solution. I am Mac-based, and use VPC when I need to do screenshots of Window's-only plug-ins. Works well enough, even on an older G4.

Good question! I never thought of doing this effect on images. There is another thread on this forum that discusses this: http://www.graphicsgalaxy.com/forums/thepluginsite/viewtopic.php?t=790&sid=e9700d556d1bade34a9b79be585f9019 See also: http://www.embirdusa.com/product_info.php/products_id/71...

I see. Sounds like you had a custom software solution, which was nice, but dangerous! I guess your options are: 1) Somehow get ahold of the source code from a family member or reverse engineer the plug-in (both options assume you can get someone to do the upgrade coding), 2) find a similar alternati...

Dreamsuite 2 seems to have been released in September 2002 (according to the file date of the installer I have). In January 2003 they released the last DS updater I can find in my collection. Either way, these apps are very old. See if you can locate the patch on their website and install it. I corr...
