I notified Harald about this problem and am posting here in case others have same the problem too. T...

Additional options

Hi Greg, see also the "Color alteration & effects" and "Film (scratches, edges)" categories at http://plugsnpixels.com/imageeffects.html for some other possible options.

BTW, your copy of Photoshop is getting a bit old, so you may be losing some compatibility with newer plugins.

Detailed Cutout

Yes, as Harald said, Fluid Mask is among the top contenders (Windows version coming). See examples (especially my flower shots!) at http://www.plugsnpixels.com/fluidmask.html . Those who are looking for a pro cutout tool can get a $10 discount through my site. It works on the same principle as OnOne...

Depth of field Generator / photoeffect blurring out of focus

Rilo, I spent a little time with Iris filter from Japan in Photoshop under Mac OS9. It seemed to have a lot of potential, but I couldn't get the provided serial numbers to work (horrible activation scheme). Another developer should try this idea! He didn't update the plugin for Photoshop, only for v...

I tend to run the Auto FX apps as standalones because of the RAM demands. Hi Jeri, I can confirm this crashing on a Mac as well. There were some updates to the Auto FX apps some time ago, but not lately, I believe, and they didn't help the crashing. In my opinion, the Auto FX apps are wonderful, but operate with way too much overhead (the demand for RAM is unbelievable, e...
