Only plug-ins created for Photoshop 7 and below are compatible (with very few exceptions) with PSP. Since this one is for PS CS/CS2 you are out of luck.

I don't know of a plug-in that does that dotted effect but you can recreate it either by adding noise or by using the airbrush with very low density.

I guess it depends on the industry. If you are working with professional printing then Photoshop is the way to go (PSP can't handle CMYK properly!), but for web graphics and/or on-screen images then you can go either way and PSP has the advantage of being far less expensive.

In Illustrator there's the Envelope Distort, but it only works with vector files.

In Photoshop you could try using Displacement Maps.

You could work with swatch libraries.

If you are going to redirect to another page then why have people wait for the animation to load?

And why even redirect?! The other page is more important, right? Then let it be the first thing to load. There's absolutely no need for the redirection.

I don't think you'll be able to get a nice 3D effect with this plug-in. The best way to get 3D is by using a 3D program.

Take a look at Blender (http://blender.org/), which is a free 3D program.

You have to use Plugin Commander (http://thepluginsite.com/products/picopro/index.htm) to convert Filter Factory files to a readable format for PSP.

I don't remember if it is exactly the same in PSP7 (I'm looking at PSPX) but go to File » Preferences » General Program Preferences » (probably) Display and Caching. Check the option Re-use last type in file save as dialog (if it isn't like this the wording should be quite similar).

Have you tried using the command Rescan Actions Folder?

Some filters also require that the document is set to RGB instead of CMYK.

Under Photoshop's Preferences you should be able to point to the folder where you have the plug-ins installed (it might have changed this when you upgraded).
