I'm having trouble updating my profile to show my website address... it's: http://chromatic_infusion.tripod.com It refuses to accept it.

Sorry, seems that I can't do anything about it. Maybe the Forum software expects the URL to begin with a www. or it doesn't like the underscore in the sub domain name.
