You know something, I forgot how the old one look like. :D

To be able to see the difference, maybe you can post the old one along the side, then we all can see the difference.

So I can only coment if I can see the old one.

Thanks.

G'day Harald,
A little like YLC, I can't recall the exact layout of the old site, probably because there is no radical change to the eye candy, but it is obvious at once that the site is leaner, cleaner with the elements of immediate interest more easily accessed. On the old site it was a Tour just to get to the Forums button.
A great effort. The change doesn't hit you in the face, you just know that it is a better experience with an old friend.

Yes, the layout has a new "slickness" to it that makes it appear more up-to-date.

I have two suggestion for even more positive improvement:

1) Redesign the blue logo to be more contemporary. Plus, the bottom edge seems a little lo-res/aliased, even on screen

2) Add many more images/visuals to the pages, especially those which show off your own plug-ins. Your main page could especially benefit from added imagery, especially a full-width banner-type header image. Perhaps this can be an animated gif or auto swap-out image that features one of the PhotoWiz plug-in effects at a time

I have great regard for Plugsnpixels, but must give my personal view:
No need to redesign a Logo that has worked well for years, and any animated, floating, jumping wriggling images will invoke feelings of being on any of the thousands of Crap Sites that offer nothing and should be kept to a minimum and as pnp suggests, displaying a plugin effect.

Lean, mean, green and simple is the best way to offer a first class product.

Thanks Lesam, but the very fact a logo used on the internet "has worked well for years" implies it is probably overdue for an update ;-). The web is constantly evolving and what looked good a week ago is now out of style.

I recently completely overhauled my own website, and I am embarrassed to think of what it used to look like! And I am still not taking advantage of Web 2.0 technology, so there is yet much room for improvement.

I agree that "floating, jumping wriggling images" are cheesy; I was thinking more of a slow fade from one image to the next (if there is to be any animation at all, and I am not insisting animation is necessary – it's not).

At the very least, I recommend a logo/header (static or animated) that spans the width of the layout, since there is a chunk of unused white space next to the blue logo as it stands.

If Harald wishes I could send over some ideas.

Harald, I just emailed you about some difficulties I am having with your plug-ins in PS CS4/Intel Mac.

Hey HaraldHeim.
Myself Sandra and I read your entire posting. The look and feel of new Plugin Site is very glorious and attaching. There is very good new themes and colors in site which will be excited. There should be one improvement step and it is color combination in new site is made up from less than 256 colors combination so there should be full use of 256 colors combination. Due to this, there is more better result will be captured from this site. Anyways thanks for posting it .Stay connected.
