I went to www.caffeeinesoft.com to download and check out their filters (as per the plug in newsletter) and found it was a 56mb file with a .dmg extension.

I have not the foggiest idea what a .dmg is and am not going to spend an hour download something that I may not be able to use.

Does anyone know what a .dmg file is?

.dmg files are disc image files. They are supported natively by Mac OS. So if you double click them under MacOS, you will get a window with the content of the .dmg file.

If you use Windows, forget it, because Caffeeine Software only developed Mac software.
