I found a freeware plug that'll let me save to JP2. Internet Explorer is congused by the JP2 files. Am I wrong in assuming there's not native support for JPeG2000?

Since Adobe is trying to get people to buy their RAW and JPeG2000 plugin set there must be a way to display them on the web.

I've found several interesting sites that claim this and that and insist on installing their own distrActive X controls. Is this the only way to view them in IE?

As far as I know Internet Explorer 6 can't display JP2 files. So to display them in Internet Explorer you have to force your visitors to download an ActiveX control or plugin. As some of your visitor might have deactivated ActiveX support or use another browsers (e.g. Netscape), even this solution won't let several of them see your JP2 images.

So my advice is to forget about displaying JP2 file on web pages. Better still use JPG images instead.
