Jumpiness of pen on tablets

Post by dwhtimyre »

Quite some time ago--maybe two to three years agao, I bought a Graphire tablet at a trade show. I had owned two other tablets and thought that maybe they ahd made some advances in the pen technology.

My problem was that all of the pen tips have play in them and when you touch the pen tip down to the tablet surface, there is play in where the mouse is and how it interacts with what you are trying to do. It was very frustrating to do anything precise and it made it very hard to work in a drawing program.

Any chance they have eliminated the pen tip wobbles?

Thanks

As I'm not a digital painter, I don't know if the Graphire Tablet is sufficient for creating digital paintings. I suspect that you get better quality in that direction from a more expensive graphic tablet with a large tablet area. It is probably best to test a graphic tablet in a computer store before you buy it. That way you can be sure that it fits your needs.

A small graphics tablet is surely sufficient for simple image correction. And that's usually what most people need.
