The Plugin Site

I'm on location doing photo shoots & editing the pictures on my friend's computer. He has an expensive laptop but the colors are faded & washed out on his monitor. Any suggestions on how to make it brighter? I don't want to start fooling around with his settings for fear of messing things up.
But it's really bad & hard to work this way. Thanx in advance for any help.

If you have Photoshop (Elements) installed on that laptop, you should calibrate the monitor with Adobe Gamma which is located in the Control Panel.
