Try fredmiranda.com in his Photoshop actions section. I have used this action and it works very well. It is free.

You have to open actions from the menu located in Photoshop's Action palette.

PSP has a red-eye-removal tool and there's also a plugin from Andromeda which lets you do it.

Hope I don't sound thick, but I've downloaded the plug-in from fredmiranda.Where does it need to go in the plug-in directory?

It isn't a plugin. It is a Photoshop Action file. You can place Action files whereever you like. To access them you have to open them from the Action palette menu.

Another action that can be used for redeye removal can be found at http://www.mayhemstudios.com/actions.html. However... a commercial redeye plugin (RedEyePro) can be found at http://www.andromeda.com. A review of this plugin can be found at http://www.freephotoshop.com.

Just so everyone knows, it's not exactly free, you have to pay $0.50 to download, which to be honest is just annoying when you don't have a credit card.

I noticed, too, that the fredmiranda.com actions cost $0.50. I don't think he is making much money of it, because he already has to pay more than 30 cent for payment processing. So these $0.50 don't make any sense.

Anyway the ones at http://www.mayhemstudios.com/actions.html are still free.

Incase no one knows about this--red eye is easy in PS

1) Make a new layer of your image using the layer palete.

2) Make sure the copy layer is active.

3) Click the dropdown menu just above the new layer (where it will say normal) change that to COLOR

4) Use the paint brush tool to go over the eye part that is red and the color will be changed to a grey just enough to take away the redeye..

5) You may now use Ctrl/e to merge both images if you wish..

Easy - no plugin needed...

Have fun

Change the color of the eye...

Choose a foreground color. This color is going to be the new color of the eyes.

Then select the 'Elliptical Marquee Tool'.

Now make a circle around the eye.

Then go to Layer --> New Adjustment Layer --> Hue/Saturation. Give the layer a name and check the Group With Previous Layer. OK

Now you are in the Hue/Saturation panel. Change the colors as you want it, say "BLUE". But remember: don't check the colorize button.

Now the only thing left is brushing the "BLUE" away from outside the eye. Select forground color black and delete the "BLUE".

Now you can change the opacity a bit and it's done! You've changed an eye color!

Use the eliptical tool to select the red portion of the eye pupil. Desaturate. Adjust brightness -30 to -50 as you think looks best. Move to the other eye. Easy and still keeps the catchlights, looks natural.
