Im starting to get into Lightroom, and enjoy some of the more subtle editing abilities, but find the import/export between Photoshop and Lightroom cumbersome.

I see the "edit in PS" thand in LR, but no similar function in PS to LR.

Can anyone tell me if theres an available patch, script, whatever to better facilitate workflow between the 2 applications?

Did you try the new Lightroom 1.1? I did not have a look yet, but they seem to have change several things.

I am not aware of a way to get a photo from Photoshop to Lightroom without importing the file to Lightroom. I believe that Lightroom is supposed to be software that helps with the workflow of processing your files. Many photos that are imported into Lightroom need no further work in Photoshop.
When you select edit in Photoshop there is a box in the lower left corner of the dialogue box that says "Stack with Original." If this box is checked then the file that you edit in Photoshop will also automatically appear in Lightroom and be just another version of the same photo. You can choose to have your stacked photos appear in your library and see only your favorite version or see all the different versions side by side.
Hope this helps and answers your question. :D

Thanks Harald and rhaas,
I now have v1.1 and am able to :
Process a pic in Lightroom then Control e opens that pic in CS3 as a .tif copy.
Seems clumsy but makes some sort of sense.
