Adobe Photoshop 4.0.1

Postby NW » Wed Dec 09, 2009 8:55 pm

My windows ME just died.javascript:emoticon('') I now have to use XP.javascript:emoticon('')
Photoshop loads up in compatibility mode, but will not open or import my old work. I believe there is an update out there somewhere "ps401udt.zip".
Does anyone have it or know where I can get it from?

Indeed I have. The only link I see for it is no longer publicly available.
http://www.btinternet.com/~mike.engles/ ... 401udt.zip

I would think that somebody's got to have this file...

Thanks-Dan

The correct file name from Adobe was ps4_401.zip. It contains an exe and wri file. Make sure to have your virus protection on when you run the file.

Maybe you could try looking some more to get a clue on what your problem is. Maybe there is an issue with your photoshop version running on XP. But I do not see why this would be, as the same package was carried out to xp with just come upgrades. Try doing another fresh install maybe that could sort your problem out.

I think the best was out for NOW (2011) is to upgrade the os up to the 7 version and to reistall everything.
