I thought I'd plug this guys tool since I used it to create my screen captures:

it makes life sooo much easier. Now my only problem is figuring out how to assign it to a hotkey. I've tried macro, but I can only get macro to record its specific use: I can't just open procanvas, I can only script procanvas specifically adjusting X pixels each time. any hints from the pros?

As far as I know you can only assign key shortcuts to commands in Photoshop with a small trick:

1. Record an Action that only contains the command you want assign a key to.

2. Assign one of the functions keys from F2 to F12 to this action by choosing "Action Options" from the Action palette menu.
