Adobe Photoshop CS problem

My photoshop is not crashing but, after editing for a while(not sure how long) but then after i selection an editing tool i can no longer edit, just the arrow, photoshop works fine after i close it out, and restart the program. Anyone else have this problem? perhaps a reinstall could fix it?

I deleted the filter I added and it seems to work fine...watch out for bad filters...

What filter was that if I may ask? It doesn't necessarily mean that this filter also creates problem for other people. Sometimes it is the mass of filters that are installed cause a problem-
