see heres my problem i keep findind defective and useless filters i want some that work and can put out alot of nice images any one got any ideas please help

The filters are not defective, you are probably trying to use them with the wrong programs. When in doubt, just go to the filter's page and see the compatibility list. Filters that work for Photoshop 6 will probably work for PSP, however you might have to install two dll files for complete compatibility. where can i get some free effects for paintshop pro 7 ... like for eg... in photoshop u can make the text drip and so on...is that possible with paintshop?.... if so where can i get such effects?

Concerning the text drip I think you refer to a technique that uses the Wind filter on 90 degree rotated image. Paint Shop Pro has a Wind filter, too. For a very good text drip effect you will need EyeCandy 4000 from www.alienskin.com
