I think that shortly after Adobe bought Aldus, Adobe's right to Photostyler was challenged. Aldus did not have the right to sell it because they were only licensing it.

Ulead demise

Postby JohnT » Sun Sep 12, 2010 12:58 am

Nova Development is still licensed to sell PhotoImpact v13 Pro also known as Corel X3 is still out on the market but as stated with no updates since 2008. I belong to two forums that still use the program along with PSP and we are not too happy with the demise of a solid program as PhotoImpact was. The learning curve and tools in PhotoImpact were much easier to use than many other programs and one could make just about anything with the path tools in a lot shorter time than PSP or any other graphic program.
What is really sad is Corel dropped Jasc animation tool after Version 3 and PhotoImpact's Gif Animator 5 which was a marvelous creation tool.

I won't buy any of Corel's new products. I don't think much of any company that pillage's just to push their inferior products. They could have integrated both products into a updated program but it was not to be.

I now use Adobe Elements, and Gimp

RE: Help Files

Microsoft quit supporting the older versions of help files but has a file down-load
that allows newer versions of windows to read these files.

I went to Microsoft's web page and searched for help file or help file reader to find this
information for another program that I had.

Hope this helps !

It is rather odd why paint shop would not get any updates already while it is still in the market. Yes, the software gets some mini upgrades but it only makes up for usability and not with editing power. This is one of the reasons why I transferred to GIMP, though it still does not provide me with the full line I would need.
