New to Plugin Authoring

I am new to Filter Factory plug in authoring. I have created maybe 10 filters that filled a need I had. Most of them deal with manipulating photographs to enhance them. For example replacing overly highlighted areas with color, creating a gradient blue sky, vignettes, removing colors, some frames, etc. In other words these filters are not artistic. I never found anything like these that worked the way I wanted for free on the search engine. I would like to post these so others can use them. I hold no copyrights, and have no idea how to get one. I don't want anyone using my work for commercial gain, but I have no intention of charging a fee. Is there someone who can host my filters? Do I need a copyright? How do I get one?

Dave, I would be delighted to host your filters on The Plugin Site. Just send them by email to me. My address is harry@thepluginsite.com

Just state that you own the copyright by entering e.g. "Copyright 2002 by Dave B." in the copyright field when creating your Filter Factory plugins. Or use Plugin Commander Light to edit the copyright field.

As you want to have users only use your filters under special condition, just create a text file which states these conditions and add it to the filter package.
