process color to spots

Does anyone know if there is a plugin for cs that easily converts a process col file to a spot colors?

Can you please explain what a "process col" file is? And what are "spot colors"?

Do you mean halftoning?

cmyk tiff file that was incorrectly saved by a client. ie it wa set up as a duotone and saved as cmyk. I have to try and take it back to the two color duotone or spot colors to output as two color film.

can i send you the file so you can see what I mean? I don't know how to do this in the forum.

I never worked with a duotone image, so I don't know if I can be of much help.

What comes to my mind is to open that TIFF file in Photoshop and to switch the mode to Duotone. That converts the CMYK image into a Duotone image.
