Problem with Visman plugins in PSP 8

Post by Sing »

Hello. My name is Lin.
I have installed Visman plugins exactly the same way as I've installed all my plugins, but PSP 8 will not let me apply them. They are there for me to access, but I receive the following error message when I try to apply them.....
"PSP was unable to load the requested plugin filter. The plugin may not be installed properly or may be missing files. (Plugin: broken1.8bf)"
I have tried downloading it from a range of different sources, but to no avail. I have friends who use PSP & have no problems.
Any help would be appreciated.

That error message means that the plugin needs to access a certain file (usually a .dll file), but can't find it. Please have a look at the folder where you installed the plugin. If there is a .dll there, please copy it to your Windows System folder and try again.

If that doesn't help, please contact the manufacturer of the plugins. He should be aware of such problems and how to fix them.

make sure you have Msvcrt10.dll
http://www.pspug.org/downloads/msvcrt10.zip
in your Windows/System directory (System32 for Windows XP users).

Thanks to both Harald & Hubbabub.
I installed into System 32 (I have XP) & it didn't work.
I moved it into System & it still didn't work.
Copied it so it was in both folders, & it worked - YAY!
I just thought that was worth mentioning for anyone else that has the same prob. Thanks heaps guys - you're life savers. :D
