Hello. I have Photoshop 7. Is there a plugin available to make straightening of an image easy? Something like Picasa has would be great. Thank you.

With Photoshop "Measure" tool (it looks like ruler) draw the line along the line in the image that you want to become, say, horizontal. Then go to Image - Rotate Canvas - Arbitrary and press "Ok".
Hope that's what you mean by "straightening"/

Thank you Ilya Razmanov
That is exactly what I was looking for. I guess it is obvious I have a lot to learn with Photoshop. Thanks again.

Photoshop is number 1 of software, when it comes to most useful features being placed in the least expectable placesTim4Peace wrote:I guess it is obvious I have a lot to learn with Photoshop.

Thanks, Ilya, I learned something new, too!
Another thing I learned recently (although I use Photoshop for years now) is how to make a Reset button appear in some filter dialogs (e.g. Levels, Curves, Gaussian Blur etc.). You need to hold down the Alt key to turn the Cancel button into a Reset button.
I guess in the past in older versions of Photoshop there was not enough place on filter dialogs, but Adobe still didn't add a Reset button of its own yet.

I worked with Photoshop every day, several hours, many years now; that's why I sort of know most shortcuts, modifyers, and hidden stuff. I simply don't have equivalent experience with GIMP, so, sorry, I can't answer your question.
