The Plugin Site

At http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/, I have made available a Photoshop file format plugin for the Windows Icon (.ICO) file format. It works with Photoshop 3.0 through 7.0 and versions are available for Power Mac, 68K Mac, and Windows.

It is "donationware" - if you use it and like it, please send the author what you think it is worth.

Please note that source code for the Windows Icon plugin is now available under the GPL, from http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw. It may be useful as an example of a fleshed-out cross-platform File Format plugin.

It's built and tested with Photoshop 3.0-7.0 (2.5 may also work) on the following platforms:

• 68K Mac (OS 8 or earlier)
• Power Mac (OS 9 or earlier, OS X and Classic)
• Windows

Makefiles and projects are provided to build with any of the following development systems:

• Macintosh Programmer's Workshop (MPW), free download from http://developer.apple.com/tools/mpw-tools/
• CodeWarrior 1 and 7
• mingw32, free GNU-based development tools for Win32 (see http://www.mingw.org/)
