Plugin Problem With CS4 on Win 7 64 bit system

Postby Jane Newman » Mon Aug 23, 2010 10:20 pm

Hi Everyone,

I've a new laptop with Win 7 home ed. 64 bit OS installed.

I've added my PhotoShop CS4 and 'tried' to add a whole bunch of filters I have but without success.

I've virtually all the Auto FX range but the older versions, all the KPT filters 3, 5, 6 and 7 plus quite a few others and I really need to use them.

Other than down-grading to Win 7 32 bit OS - is there anything else I can do, a kind of work around to get all my filters into CS4 ?

If anyone can help or advise me on this, it would be much appreciated - I don't fancy the added expense of buying newer versions of everything on top of the cost of my new laptop ...

Plus, with regards to the KPT range, I presume they aren't even available for use on my system - newer versions ?

Hope someone can come up with an idea for me :)

You can run older plugins (which are 32-bit) in the 32-bit version of Photoshop CS4. So you do not need a 32-bit OS to run old plugins, you just need to use the 32-bit version of Photoshop.

The plugins folder of Photoshop 32-bit is located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-Ins\

Return to “Photoshop-compatible Plugins”
