Post by rachnasingh »

I want to know if there is any image viewer for psd files. Most phot organisers only organise images available in jpeg format . I am looking for a prog free to use where i can view my psd files as albums

XnView

Foolowing the previous advice, I installed this free software both under XP and 98. It is nice but it does not work with (at least):
- Photodeluxe files *.pdd
- Postscript files (level 2) *.ps
Why? I really do need to (pre)view and organize these files.
Shall I write to the author or it is a simple mistake?
Thanks
Calin

IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com) and ACDSee (http://www.acdsystems.com) support PSD files. PSD is a quite simple format (I wrote some code to open such files in the past, so I know!), so a lot of viewers should support it.

ACDSee lets you preview PS files, but you won't have any luck with PDD files. Best use Photodeluxe itself to view them. PDD is only used in Photodeluxe which has been dropped by Adobe.
