Harry's Filters installed but inactive in PS7 and AI 10

Post by Rami »

Hi, I have a problem: installed Harry's Filters 3 in PhotoShop 7 under WinXP, first started PS didn't show HF in 'Filters'. Retried, the menu item apeeared, but is 'grey'. The same in Illustrator - menu appeared but inactive. :( Does anyone know how to fix it?

Harry's Filters only works on 8bit RGB and Grayscale images. If you have an 256 color image, a CMYK image or a 16bit RGB image opened, Harry's Filters won't be executable. You need to convert the image to 8bit RGB in that case at first.

In Illustrator you have to open a RGB or Grayscale image and make sure that it is selected, before you can apply Harry's Filters.

I think Photoshop Elements only supports 8bit RGB as far as full color images are concerned. Anyway you have to select Image > Mode > RGB Color.
