(1) Is "Sharpening", as applied by Focalblade, appropriate for B&W?
(2) If so, what are the best settings, Auto. or otherwise?
(3) If so, why no Auto B&W preset/s?

Best settings for B&W???I wondered:

Re: Best settings for B&W???Actually there is not difference between B&W and color images as far as sharpening is concerned. The input and output processes are the same.
There may be a creative difference. B&W image often look nice if you make them a bit more "punchy" by increasing contrast. You can do that e.g. with your ContrastMaster tool.
