Sorry for the delayed reply. Somehow it slipped through my radar.

Yes, it is possible to apply multiple black and white effects at the same time. Sometimes if you apply a selective B/W effect and run B/W Styler again, the color may be removed. In that case you need to readjust the effect again. In general it is best to activate all effects in B/W Styler before leaving the B/W Styler window with OK.

Your problem may also be that the On Start Up option on the Prefs tab sheet is not set to "Previous Settings", which is the default.
