Does this work with After Effects?

Post by jayse »

Hello All.

I'm currently writing a book about After Effects Plugins and I'm interested in this utility.

Can I get anyone's input on how it works with After Effects - if it does - and how well etc.

If so, I may feature it in the 'Utilities' secton of the book.

Thanks for any help sent to jayse@e-lysian.com

Cheers,

Hi Jayse,

thanks for your interest. Plugin Commander displays the internal names and category (=sub menu) of AE plugins. It lets you deactivate AE plugins, so that they don't show up in AE. The Pro Version of Plugin Commander lets you also change the category of AE plugins and displays preview images for each AE plugin (currently not for all, but you can easily create the preview images yourself).

Plugin Commander is basically aimed at Photoshop-compatible plugins, so the features for AE plugins are a bit limited. But as Photoshop plugins are also usable in AE, the other features of Plugin Commander should of interest for AE users, too.
