File Locations, can you explain

Postby keyze » Tue Feb 17, 2004 1:33 am

Hi Herold,

It has been a long time since I was here last. I am ICH but the site made me reaply and use a different name? Anyway, I have had a lot of fun with this product but, I think I installed it into the wrong section on my computer. I installed it within C: It is not under Programs let alone under Jasic PSP plugin file.

I may have to reset up my install soon and really would like to figure out exactlly where it should go. Now, I have to open Plugin Commander and then go get the image. Then I can apply the different plugins. When I find one I like I then have to take it back to PSP after I have aplied the plugin. This makes it akward when you have to swap back and forth.

I think I must have the install wrong. Shoul I have installed it into the plugin folder? As it is, I have Plugins in my PSP plugins files and in Plugin Commander. I think I am very confused. My setup is as follows:

Plugin Commander

Jasic PSP 8
Plugin folder

What should it be?

You should install Plugin Commander where you install your other applicatios. Usually that's C:\Program Files\. But if you can of course install it everywhere you like. Just make sure it has its own folder somewhere.

You don't need to install any plugins inside the Plugin Commander folder. Just leave the plugins where they are and select that folder in Plugin Commander.

You apply a plugin to an image in Plugin Commander and then copy and paste the image into PSP? If you know that you will use PSP on that image afterwards, you could also apply the plugin directly in PSP. I'm not quite sure if I understood you correctly.
