HELP!

Post by Laura »

Hey, I'm currently doing coursework for Graphic Design, and I have to design the entire packaging for a new computer game. I chose to design a package for a game based on the film 'Gangs Of New York'. I've pretty much finished the design, only the pictures I am using on the package are stills from the film. What I was wondering is whether there is a plug-in that can make a photo look more like computer graphics, as the images on computer game packages aren't going to be photos/ stills from a film, but stills from the game. I've tried using something that simplifies colours, but that looks rubbish, as does turning pictures into cartoons or sketches. I was thinking about trying to find a '3d effect' somewhere, but if anyone has any other ideas of plug-ins that could make a photo/ film still look like computer graphics I would be tremendously grateful. E-mail me at melodyandsilence@hotmail.co.uk, or post as a reply please. :D Thanks!

Try Buzz Pro from http://www.fo2pix.com/ or Simplifier from http://photoshop.msk.ru/as/

Buzz Pro

Project suggests student and student suggests a not unlimited supply for £££. Please forgive my presumption if you are rich or did read the whole Buzz Pro thing!

Buzz Pro looks the better of the two (see Chez Camille) but it is expensive

Just in case you didn't get further than the example screenshot and the price, the demo version lets you process 30 pictures for free - that might be enough if you are careful!

Good luck with the project :D
