Making Shadows

Post by chaitereye »

Can anyone tell me how to make shadows?
I have a graphic of a car on a lawn & I want to make it look like there is a shadow on the grass from the sun. Thanx in advance to all who reply!

1. Open an image.
2. Make selection (selection shape is shape of object for shadows)
3. Run "Drop Shadow" filter "Effects->3D Effects->Drop Shadow"
4. Set direction and color of light
5. Press OK

More about shadow you can find on PSP links. Use search service.

Thank you for your reply. However, I tried that but I need the shadow to be reversed & there is no option for that in the drop shadow box.
Do you know if it would be easier to do in Photoshop?[/b]

Thank you! I just installed it & I can see that it will make it so much easier. Have you ever used it? The trouble I am having now is that it shows the image way too large. I tried to use the zoom tool but that didn't make it smaller. Sorry to bug you. Why does everything have to be so complicated?
