Photoshop slowdown

Post by mrubin »

I love using plugins and collecting them, as well. One problem with this is that the more Plugins I add to Photoshop, the slower it runs. Aside from adding more RAM (I'm at max) or getting a faster computer, is there any way that I can both add plugins to PS, while maintaining brisk speed?[/list]

Do you mean that it takes longer to start Photoshop or does Photoshop also run slower during normal operation?

There is a product called PluginMaster (www.pluginmaster.com) which lets you run plugins in an external application outside Photoshop and return the result to Photoshop. But I don't think that is a solution for you, because it takes much more time to run a plugin than it would need to run the plugin in Photoshop itself.

Do you really need all of these plugins?
