Color conversion filter

Postby chapleski » Thu Jul 13, 2006 3:58 pm

Does anyone know how I might convert a photo of a buffalo (American bison) and change it to look like a white buffalo, realistically, using a plugin? Thanks.

Converting a normal bufallo to a white bufallo sounds like a difficult task. If it was only a uniform colored area, e.g. a dress, that you wanted to transform to white, it would have been much easier. I think it requires a lot of manual retouching to make the white bufallo look realistic.

If you send me the image, I could check it out and maybe give you a few tips.

Assuming you're talking about a color change (as opposed to shape shifting), I think you might find Color Mechanic perfect for your needs, or perhaps BlackMagic.

I can't say that I've ever seen a white buffalo!

The best program I have found to do this Akvis Coloriage. It is pretty expensive. If you want to email me a copy of the picture I will see if I can change it for you.
