I have a problem with uninstalling Humansoft Automask 4.6.
After uninstall (done properly, through 'add remove' applet), when opening Photoshop (CS2, v9.0.2 running on Win XP Pro SP-2), it comes up with a warning message 'cannot find pdfl50.dll blah blah blah'.
If I dismiss the dialogue, PS opens and runs normally. Re-installing Automask stops the problem. Uninstall-problem re-ocurrs. Not the end of the world, but very annoying.
How do I uninstall Automask 'properly' to stop this happening?
BTW - I have emailed Humansoft support and got no response.
I guess the .8bf file of Automask is still in the Plug-Ins sub folder of the Photoshop folder and is not removed by the uninstaller. After uninstallation please manually delete the appropriate .8bf file.
No, I've tried this. The uninstall does leave remnants, but I've done a search and deleted everything 'automask', including the 8bf file, but the warning still comes up until I re-install.
I'll leave it installed 'til I can find a solution.
