Hi Harry! Help? The PlugIn Commander, I'm very afraid.....

Post by beauty_cochran »

[large] Hay Harry and all! Harry I am so nervous about putting plugins back into my Corel PSP X program. I have had to reinstall it so many times because I don't know how to do it right, which is embarassing. I need a bit of help because I am ill and my memory and reading is a bit out of wack. I want to know how to 1st put in the PlugIn Commander and then the filters. However, first I need to keep my PSP X from continually telling me it is out of memory when I know it isn't!? One girl gave me several suggestions and those worked yesterday but I was working on something today got almost finished after already two memory errors and it locked up and shut down. Fortunately I save all the time because I learned my lesson once when i had made my own design and had saved nothing. And I couldn't recreated it for anything. So if you can help I sure would appreciate it! Love & Huggles-Beauty Cochran :D [/large][/b]
*If I'm here you know I need help, LOL!!*
I love my PSP X!!!

Well if you are the Plugin Manager and they tell me to come to this site in case I need help with installing these things and you can't help me, who can?

You need to install Plugin Commander like PSP or any other application. It is not a plugin, so you do not need to do anything special.

Please have a look on the Corel website if there is no update for PSP X that you do not have. Sometimes updating PSP solves such memory problems. Unfortunately PSP X is not the most stable application anymore since Version 9 according to my experiences.

I recommend that you install your plugins outside the PSP plugins folder, each plugin in its own sub folder e.g. at C:\Plugins\. Then you can add these sub folders (e.g. C:\Plugins\Alienskin\) in File > Preference > File Locations > Plugins in PSP X. That way you do not need to reinstall your plugins if you update to PSP XI or decide to also use your plugins with other applications.

Please also see the "Installing Your Plugins" and "Organizing your plugins on the hard drive" paragraphs at
http://www.thepluginsite.com/knowhow/tu ... uction.htm

I hope my comments helped you.

I'm curious to know the specs of her computer, especially how much RAM is installed.
