Some Help Here Please

Post by Lovetullys »

Hi, I have CS2 and I am having some trouble with plugins. I downloaded from Action Central, but they aren't showing up. I am not sure why, I thought I did everything right.
I also have PSP v9 through XI and have downloaded many plugins into these programs. Is there a difference in the installation ?
Are Plugins and Actions the same ?
Thanks for any help you can give !!

Actions are usually .atn files and plugins are normally 8bf files theregore actionsmust go in your action folders and plugins go in your filter folder, so yes they are different. I keep all my actions in a folder outside photoshop on a seperate hdd. I find it easier that way but that is only my opinion

Although PSP supports .8bf Photoshop plugins, it does not let you use .atn Photoshop actions. It does not matter in which folder you have the actions, because you need to open them in Photoshop with the Load Action command on the Actions palette.
