Replacing 32 bit plugins with 64 bit

Post by Malena »

This is very distressing news as my three XP computers are all 32 bit and
I never intend to get or have Vista and not even the newest Windows 7 nor will I have 64 bit. Please don't stop making plugins for those of us
using and needing 32 bit.

You seem to have misunderstood something. Our plugins will be available as 32bit as well as 64bit versions. Maybe in five years or later when almost noone will be using a 32bit operating system and 32bit applications anymore, we will only make updates available as 64bit. But even then the old 32bit versions will still be usable. So you do not need to worry.

The same is true for all other plugin developers. More than 2/3 of all people are still on 32bit operating systems, so dropping 32bit support would mean loosing 2/3 of all customers. So that is not going to happen very soon.
