reading adobe files

Postby jungfrau » Sat May 21, 2005 9:32 am

Hi,

I am Paul and have a particular problem that's bugging for sometime now. If I view a link on a website to open an Adobe-file, the item does not open properly. The only thing I get is a little square with a red cross in it on the upper left hand side of the screen. I guess I need to install a some plugin, but have not got the faintest idea which one.

I'd be very greatful for your help.

Thanks,

Paul

You probably mean a PDF file. You need to install Acrobat Reader from www.adobe.com. It installs a PDF plugin into internet explorer. There are also some other PDF viewers like ACDSee or GhostView. If you have one installed, you can also download the file with right click and "Save Target As" and view it.
