Photoshop Plugins and Filters ( Locations )

Post by Allen-H »

I have a great number of Plugins and Filters for Photoshop CS2, which reside. at the moment. in my plugins folder within Photoshop, I feel that the great number is slowing down Photoshop somewhat. Is it possible to keep them in a seperate folder outside the Photoshop programme, either on the same drive or a different drive. Help appreciated

Along as Photoshop scans for all of your plugins, it doesn't matter where they are located. But you can move them to a folder where Photoshop doesn't look for plugins.

Another method is to use a tool like Plugin Commander (http://thepluginsite.com/products/picopro/) to disable the plugins and enable them again if you need them.

Thanks for the prompt reply Harald. I tried Plugin Commander some time ago and got into a bit of a mess with it ( Operator Error  ) I will give it another try
