I love the eyedropper tool the most when you do the kind of work I do with Photoshop (Prosthetic Makeup Design). The eyedropper allows you to duplicate highlight and shadow colors in faces that are from diverse races. I love it I do!

By far, one of the handiest tools in Adobe PhotoShop 6 is the background eraser. It makes getting rid of unwanted backgrounds in photos a snap, and is a great help in weeding out unwanted pixels when you are trying to separate all the wires in a shopping cart basket from a background, for example. The tolerance can be set with the Magic Wand's tolerance.

You left out the "Sharpen" tool. In digital photography, that's one tool that gets used on almost every picture to some extent, regardless of what else is done to it.

Bar none [no pun intended] the MIRROR effect tool in Freehand 8 is the best. It allows me to configure kaleidoscopic imagery PRECISELY AND can make "anything" look fantanstic, from the lowliest design, typographic, or jpeg image. The results are usually spectacular and worth having on display in my home office.

I have tried a most all from the list Illustrator, Freehand, Canvas, Xara, and more But none were good in comparison with COREL DRAW.

Tried CorelDraw, Illustrator, Fireworks etc; and struggling on a steep learning curve? Give XaraX a shot and look forward to a pleasant surprise. It's more than capable for most design needs, easy to learn, fast and doesn't need a super computer to run. I've tried all the others and keep coming back to XaraX - CorelXara was good but Xara is simply great

CorelDraw... you know that is the best. Freehand is very good but it's harder and falls in things such gradient tools. Corel is powerfull and easy to use.

i use adobe illustrator, macromedia freehand, and many other vector softwares but corel is the easiest to work with,specially when working with native psd files,its overloaded with tools that are useful, corel is the best vector graphic application i have used since,illustrator had only one page at a time, freehand is messy to use, specially with its gradient tools and so is illustrator.

I have been using Corel products since version 3.0. I have been employed as a designer since 1972. I have used both Illustrator and CorelDRAW. I use vector graphics in a print/production environment. For my money, Draw is just more user-friendly (imagine, four selection tools in Illustrator when you only need one!) I am not trashing Adobe as I use PhotoShop, PageMaker and InDesign, and Illustrator is a fine program. But in a production environment, it can't compare to Draw.
