Supported by Photoshop Elements 11 and higher
LayersXXL adds an "fx" icon on the Layers panel. Depending on the version of Photoshop Elements the icon is added to the top or bottom of the Layers panel. Clicking it displays the Style Settings dialog for adding or editing layer effects. If the background is selected, it will be automatically converted into a layer. In Photoshop 6 to 10 you do not have this icon and you have to use the Layer > Layer Style > Style Settings menu item instead.
Supported by Photoshop Elements 8 and higher
Once a layer style was added to a layer a small fx symbol appears at the right hand side of the layer bar. LayersXXL allows you to click on this symbol to bring up its Style Settings dialog for editing the layer style. In Photoshop 6 and 7 you have to use the Layer > Layer Style > Style Settings menu item instead, because clicking the fx symbol displays the standard Style Settings dialog of Photoshop Elements with fewer features.
