Stage 1
: Start your video-editing application, create a new project and
import some footage. Any video-editor will do as long as it contains
a gradient wipe effect. Premiere 6 was used here.
Stage 2
: In Premiere 6 drag the Gradient Wipe transition from the Transitions
palette to the Transition track.
Stage 3
: Open a texture from the Mutation or Abstraction CD on the Gradient
Wipe dialog. Texture number 0016 from Mutation was used in this
example.
If it shouldn't
work, it could be that your video applications doesn't support
jpg files. In this case please convert the appropriate texture
to a siutable image format before loading it into the Gradient
Wipe Effect.
Stage 4
: By using the Softness slider you can adjust how soft the two
videos are cross blended.
Stage 5
: Finally press OK to view the effect. You should experiment with
different textures to get a transition effect that fits best.
