Photo Galaxy is a collection of more than 6300 royalty-free digital photos of three different image sizes. You can use the photos for different purposes. You can use them as material for graphics artwork or multimedia projects, as decoration for web sites and e-book covers. The high resolution versions of the photos can also be used for greeting cards, brochures, flyers or other print products, as desktop backgrounds and many other things. Photo collections usually provide you with thousands of almost unusable low-resolution photos or with very few high-resolution photos at a high price. Photo Galaxy is different in two aspects. Unlike other photo collections it offers a wide range of high-resolution photos at an affordable price. Secondly, it is allowed to use the photos on a royalty-free basis which means that the photos can be used for commercial purposes at no additional costs. The Photo Galaxy CDs and DVDs can be used on Windows and Macintosh computers as well as many other computer systems that support ISO 9660 CDs or standard DVD-Rs. The photos have been manually corrected for optimum color, contrast, brightness and perspective.
Product Versions
Photo Galaxy 800 Photo Galaxy 800 consists of almost 4400 photos on a single CD-ROM. The photos are identical to those of the Photo Galaxy 1600 product with the difference that only the best photos were chosen and that their size is smaller. The photos are sorted into 38 main categories and provided at a size of 800 x 600 or 880 x 584 pixel as high quality JPG files. The photos were sampled down from 1600x1200 or 1760x1168 pixel, which means that they are of a very good image quality. The photos are only suitable for screen display and not for printing.
Photo Galaxy 1600 Photo Galaxy 1600 offers a total of 5400 photos located on 5 different CD-ROMs or a single DVD. The collection consists of 5 volumes, which are called "Nature and Human Life", "Photo Textures", "Dark Season", "Photo Textures II" and "Mixed Impressions". The photos of each volume are sorted into 70 to 100 sub categories. The photos are provided as high quality JPG files at a size of 1600 x 1200 or 1760 x 1168 pixel (which is approx. 4 x 6 inches or 10x15 cm at 300 dpi respectively 6 x 8 inches or 15 x 20 cm at 200 dpi). They were taken in different places in England, Wales, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Photo Galaxy 2300 Photo Galaxy 2300 features more than 950 photos on 2 CD-ROMs or a single DVD. The photos consist mostly of photo textures that were selected from a pool of a few thousand photos to ensure high quality. The photo textures are sorted into 118 sub categories thus offering a wide variety of motives. The photos are provided as high quality JPG files at a size of 2272 x 1704 pixel (which is approx. 6 x 8 inches or 15 x 20 cm at 300 dpi respectively 8.5 x 11 inches or 21 x 29 cm at 200 dpi). The photos were taken in different places in the USA, Spain and Germany.
