Gizmo's Photoshop Actions

Bob asked us to host his Photoshop Actions (for Windows and Macintosh) on The Plugin Site. They can help you to design your own CD labels, fronts and backs in Photoshop. Here are some images and descriptions of Gizmo's CD Utilities:


"CD Label" applied to a gradient image
"CD Front" applied to a gradient image
"CD Back" applied to a gradient image


CD Back (Template)
: Creates a New Document for a Blank Template of the Back of a Jewel Case
Image Template is 5.967" x 4.687" at 300dpi
Note - The Guides are there to indicate the Spines on the sides of the Jewel Case

CD Back: Takes any Image and contort it into the proper size for of a Jewel Case Back with Spines
Image is 5.967" x 4.687" at 150dpi
Note - This will make a new Document so that you can keep your original artwork

CD Front (Template): Creates a New Document for a Blank Template of the Front of a Jewel Case
Image Template is 9.5" x 4.75" at 300dpi
Note - The Guide is there to indicate the fold in the Cover

CD Front: Takes any Image and contort it into the proper size for of a Jewel Case Front
Image is 9.5" x 4.75" at 150dpi
Note - This will make a new Document so that you can keep your original artwork

CD Label (Template): Creates a New Document for a Blank Template of the CD Label
Image is 5" x 5" at 150dpi Circular
Note - This will make a new Document so you will have to import your artwork

CD Label: Takes any Image and contort it into a Circular shape the size of a label
Image is 5" x 5" at 150dpi Circular
Note - This will make a new Document so that you can keep your original artwork

Background Opacity: Takes any image and make it an editable Layer and opens up Layer Options and sets the image at 50% by Default, this is adjustable. This is very useful when text is used over the top of an image.

Image Enhance: Takes an Image and automatically adjust color level and open Brightness/Contrast
Options and preset to 20 by default. User can adjust to their preference.
