Pros:
|
Informative HTML-based manual, with examples and hints. Many excellent presets included. Ability to save your own presets
|
|
Cons:
|
Not possible to run the help file from the dialog. The icon buttons don't have any tool tips or text labels. Preset location doesn't "stick" (must navigate to preset folder whenever loading or saving a preset). Limited applicability.

Flood is fun to use and creates remarkably realistic water and water-like effects. For example, you can add a lake to the foreground of a landscape. And by using Flood on separate image layers, you can make a figure appear to be partially submerged in liquid or embedded in a mirror-like solid.

Flaming Pear's Flood filter is totally awesome. If you are one who paints water by hand, you'll never go back to it after trying Flood.
You can set the View, Waves and Ripple for the water. The reflections are terrific and it would be very pain staking to create these effects by hand.
It takes seconds to apply the settings using the sliders or the dice.
Take those old blah images and turn them into something special with the Flood filter. If you've got images with great backgrounds but the foreground is lacking Flood is for you.
If you just like water in your images, lose the headache of hand painting it by creating the water with Flood.
