Use to de-emphasize distracting backgrounds, produce distinctive bokeh highlights, simulate the effects of a tilt-shift lens, create a fake model effect, add a natural or artistic vignette.

To complain about what this filter lacks is to quibble. This is a marvelous depth-of-field simulator, producing much better results than what you'd get with your image editor's built-in DoF or lens blur filter: Alien Skin Bokeh simulates very realistic bokeh effects produced by various professional grade lenses, especially on specular highlights, and it even simulates the bokeh of a mirror lens or fancy bokeh such as stars or hearts. Add to that the vignetting features and you've got a filter that will help you get some really wonderful photo effects.
Be sure to read the manual and check out the online tutorials. This filter does a lot more than just blur backgrounds!
Compatible with Photoshop CS3 or later, Photoshop Elements 4.0.1 or later on Mac, Photoshop Elements 6.0 or later on PC, Fireworks CS4, and Paint Shop Pro Photo X2.
