I agree. If you want to Freelance, you need to make a business site. Textures scream 'personal homepage'.

To do freelanceing, you want to appeal to the business world.

Animations are a considered a no no...they are distracting to the end user, and also takes thier eyes away from your content.

1) All browsers *except* IE support PNG alpha transparany. 2) No matter if you are using alpha transparancy or not, you must start your new image with a transparant background and *do not flatten* 3) Do NOT start new image with a white background, check the transparacy option when you start a new im...

Play with the controls, and then afterward - Go to Edit>>Fade.....here you play with both the controls and the layer blend modes for different effects. Edit>>Fade>>Luminosity works well. After that use the burn and dodge tools to add shadows and...

While is won't always work well for underexposure or overexposure, you can try adjusting both levels and curves. Before you make those adjustments manually though try using: Autolevels - (if this throws the ex...

You could try Altamira's Genuine Fractals.....though there is a limit to what even that can do.

In my experience there isn't really much you can do to enlarge a low quality image.

To me it doesn't really matter *how* you get there, it matters that you get there. I normally work on an image 12-15 hours...some takes weeks, some take month to get 'just right'. I think it's important that you have a plan....that you 'see' what you will create in your mind before you do anything. ...
